YEAR ZERO is the story of a man whose life reads like a movie, one where no one truly knows the opening credits.
Born on the African continent at the dawn of the 90s, he grew up between France and Australia during that wild decade, deeply soaking in the prevailing spirit of the time. The pop culture he was immersed in sparked dreams of adventure and freedom; he didn't know it yet, but these dreams would eventually shape his entire life.
Very early on, image became his language, he photographed the world rather than explaining it. He crossed continents, climates, and invisible borders. He’s slept in silent deserts, navigated the chaos of megacities, climbed distant volcanoes, and hacked through thick jungles. Often alone. Usually in places where most people don't think to stop. Over the years, he observed and learned. Moments became memories, and people became lessons. He developed a keen understanding of human nature, becoming a true chameleon. And when things went south, he made it out. Always.
His trajectory is a succession of improbable chapters: he has been seen capturing crocodiles to aid in their protection, sharing his passion as a photography professor in Costa Rica, and teaching tropical survival techniques. In the shadows, his expertise led him to more discreet missions: executive protection, firearms instructor in exotic lands, and expert in self-defense and knife combat.
But then, one night, it hit him.
Everywhere he looked, he saw the same patterns. The same hollow promises. The same soulless, 'copy-paste' experiences. So, in his house of the top of a hill overlooking the Pacific coast of Costa Rica, he started writing and sketching. By sunrise, YEAR ZERO was born. It wasn’t just a business plan; it was a visceral reaction. A sharp, demanding, profoundly human alternative. A sanctuary with real character. A place where he could finally share his vision of a different world.
